Ryder and Calanthia

This was a short comic about a guy named Ryder who grew up having this angel, Calanthia, always around him. However, no one else could see Calanthia.

This was an idea that I originally thought about in middle school, but I decided to revisit these characters and make a comic based around this idea. I wanted to showcase Ryder’s internal conflict and thoughts about this angel that is always around him. Is she an imaginary friend? Is she real? Or is Ryder just going crazy? The main thing about. how I ended it, is that I wanted to keep in ambiguous to allow readers to come up with their own thoughts on the matter.

This was a comic where I really wanted to utilize color to tell the story. When the pages are in flat colors, it was the present. When the pages where grey scaled, then it was a flashback. And then for the shaded pages, it represented more of Ryder’s thoughts.
