Green Cities Speak Website and Identity
This project came about when trying to combine the identity of the non-profits Green Cambridge and Speak for the Trees Boston as well as redesign their websites.
I started out trying to rebrand the non-profits. I wanted to try and combine the names of both organizations while also not restricting it to a single area. So I went with Green Cities Speak as it takes the “Green” from Green Cambridge, “Speak” from Speak for the Trees Boston, and added the “Cities” to show it isn’t just connected to a single city. I focused on a green color scheme as both organizations use the color green. With making a new logo, I wanted to go with something that combines community and trees and so I landed on a logo that has a hand with leaves growing off of it. This way, the hand in the logo doubles as a tree.
When making the web design, I tried taking elements of both websites that I did enjoy and make it much more pleasing to look at. It also is designed to make navigation easier as the navigation of both websites weren’t the best at all.
