Queens Gambit Ending Sequence

This was a project to reanimate and reedit the ending sequence for the Netflix show, Queens Gambit. I wasn’t the only one to make some of the animations and so this was a group effort to make. Everyone a part of this project made a short animation using the same assets and then individually but the sequence together.

Since the show is about an orphaned girl who is a prodigy at chess, the imagery is focused on the chess aspect by making it all black and white and having chess pieces. There is also the fact that she traveled and made money while doing so, so with that in mind, some of the imagery also includes those aspects as well.

When editing and placing the credits, I made sure that it matched with the music and the flow was good. The hardest part was making sure I could place all the credits in the sequence without it disrupting the footage while also being able to place all the credits there.
